Fresh Produce
Even though it may not seem as if the summer season is upon us, June is here, and soft fruits like peaches, nectarines, apricots and cherries from sunny California are making their debut. There is nothing like an extra juicy peach or a bowl of cherries to put you into the summer spirit, and what we have right now are sure to make you need to change your shirt (or at least wear some wardrobe protection)!
Not only are they delicious, but also the health benefits of eating peaches and other soft fruits like nectarines and apricots are profound. Peaches are high in Vitamin A and are an excellent source of dietary fiber; apricots are high in antioxidants and cherries are a beta-carotene powerhouse. With all of those benefits combined with how simply wonderful these fruits taste, getting your daily dose should be a snap.
