Nutrition & Natural

Support your child and help them grow up healthy and happy with proper nutrition. Studies have shown that a healthy balanced diet has many benefits for children as well as adults!
Canadian researchers have found that children who had a nutritious diet of fruits and vegetables, which are low in fat, were more likely to pass academic tests. Consuming omega-3 fatty acids are beneficial for overall wellness and contribute to children’s brain development – which may reduce symptoms of common learning disorders like dyslexia, ADHD and poor eyesight.
Though you want to provide the best for your child keeping up with the demand of creating a diet your child will find appealing can be challenging. Major manufacturers who market to children use flashy packaging and cartoon characters to appeal to kids and are often filled with unbeneficial ingredients.
If a healthy diet of wholesome, natural foods is a unpracticed habit in your home you would like to introduce to your child, start slow so as to not overwhelm your child with a plate of food your picky eater will simply not touch.
Try these tricks of the trade!
Steaming and pureeing vegetables is an excellent way to sneak them into your meals. Try adding pureed cauliflower for healthier cheese sauce or pureed vegetables like zucchini, carrots and red peppers in your next spaghetti sauce.
To thicken soups, stews and sauces try adding pureed beans for some added protien.
Use a veggie ground round in your sauces that have bolder flavors like spaghetti, this will cut down on fats and is a great way to introduce your kids to tofu!
